Jazz legend Django Reinhardt revolutionized guitar playing by marrying gypsy musical traditions into mainstream jazz, creating a wholly new style of ‘hot’ jazz guitar. Likewise, the Hot Club quintet he and violinist Stephane Grappelli co-founded became one of the most influential bands in jazz history. This collection presents twenty-three classic tracks, ranging from favorite Reinhardt originals Nuages and Djangology to jazz transcriptions and swing arrangements such as Sweet Georgia Brown and Sweet Georgia Brown (featuring Reinhart on solo guitar).
